Job SummaryThe mission of the Instructor in the Education Department, regardless of curriculum, is to provide the student(s), our customers(s), with the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain entry‑level employment in the field of their chosen program of study. To accomplish this mission, all instructors will utilize their talents, skills, and abilities in a coordinated and consistent team effort under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Nursing.
The following are essential qualifications, duties and areas of responsibility that each instructor agrees to accept as a condition of employment. Job duties and responsibilities are not limited to the items listed below.
Qualifications Registered Nurse- Hold a current California active license as a Registered Nurse.
- Hold a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited school; or a valid teaching credential; or have completed a minimum of (1) one year full‑time teaching experience in a state accredited or approved registered nursing or vocational or practical nursing; or psychiatric technician school within the last (5) five years; or met Community College or State University teaching requirements in California.
- Have a minimum of (2) two years experience as a Registered Nurse or licensed Vocational Nurse within the last (5) five years.
- Hold a current California active license as a Vocational Nurse.
- Hold a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited school; or a valid teaching credential; or have completed a minimum of (1) one year full‑time teaching experience in a state accredited or approved registered nursing or vocational or practical nursing; or psychiatric technician school within the last (5) five years; or met Community College or State University teaching requirements in California.
- Have a minimum of (2) two years experience as a Vocational Nurse or licensed within the last (5) five years
- Instructors are expected to have appropriate academic and experiential qualifications in their program of study and must meet or exceed instructor requirements set for in the state Department of Education and accreditation agency regulations. Instructors…
