Superintendent (HCAI Healthcare)
Location: Salinas, Monterey County, CA. (Local Candidates Preferred)
Employment Type: Full-time, on-site
Base salary: $120,000 - $160,000 DOE
About the Role:
MyGreat Recruitment is hiring a Superintendent on behalf of our client for an on-site healthcare project in Salinas. You'll lead all field operations from mobilization through closeout-owning safety, schedule, quality, and coordination with subs, inspectors, and project stakeholders. The work is in active, HCAI-occupied facilities (formerly OSHPD), so experience in Healthcare (live healthcare preferred) environments is essential.
Must-Haves
- 5+ years supervising construction in HCAI-occupied facilities (live healthcare).
- Proven success managing field operations: schedule, subs, materials, QC, safety, production.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Valid driver's license (3+ years) and ability to work in a physically demanding, outdoor jobsite environment (bending, kneeling, lifting 40+ lbs).
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
- Working knowledge of:
Procore, Plan Grid, Bluebeam, Revit, Sketch Up, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, Navisworks, MS Project, Viewpoint. - Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Knowledge of SWPPP, LEED, and materials reuse best practices.
- Coordinate and supervise all field construction activities and self-perform crews.
- Build and maintain a weekly look-ahead; co-create and update the master schedule.
- Plan sequencing, logistics, and site setup to hit milestones and budgets.
- Drive productivity, track production goals, and resolve constraints proactively.
- Order materials/equipment and schedule inspections.
- Lead safety on site-identify hazards, enforce policy, and complete required training.
- Maintain strong relationships with owners' reps, design teams, AHJs, and trade partners.
- Ensure a clean, organized, compliant jobsite at all times.
