HR Receptionist
Shift /
Hours:
Monday - Saturday 9:00am - 7:30pm
Hourly Range: $19-$23/Hour
Type of Role: Temp to Hire
Location: Hollister, CA / Yuma, AZ
Position Summary: The HR Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for all employees, visitors, and job applicants at the salad processing plant. This role provides front-desk reception support and assists the Human Resources department with administrative tasks, onboarding, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and assist all visitors, vendors, and job applicants in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and manage general HR email inquiries.
- Support HR with administrative tasks including filing, scanning, and data entry.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of employee records and sensitive information.
- Schedule interviews, assist with new hire onboarding, and prepare orientation materials.
- Ensure proper documentation for employee access badges, uniforms, and timekeeping systems.
- Monitor compliance with visitor policies and food safety regulations at the front desk.
- Assist with coordinating employee events, bulletin boards, and internal communication.
- Maintain inventory of office and breakroom supplies for HR and reception areas.
- Support HR team with special projects, audits, and reporting as needed.
- MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL WITH THE SEASON (YUMA, AZ)
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional HR or administrative training is a plus.
- 1+ year of receptionist or administrative experience, preferably in a manufacturing or food production setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish is a plus).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office equipment.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a diverse workforce environment.
- Familiarity with HRIS or timekeeping systems (e.g., ADP, Kronos) is an advantage.
- Work is performed in an office within a refrigerated food processing facility.
- Must be comfortable working near production areas and complying with food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Regular interaction with employees across shifts and departments.
