Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in Salinas, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in processing and managing high-volume accounts payable transactions while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has prior experience in agriculture or manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage high volumes of accounts payable invoices, including matching, batching, and coding.

- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and trucking partners.

- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Finance system effectively to support accounting operations.

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and maintain workflow continuity.

- Maintain organized records and assist in audit preparation and compliance.

- Reconcile accounts and address any payment-related issues promptly.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounts payable process.

- Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to address inquiries and provide resolutions. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable roles.

- Proficiency in processing invoices, account coding, and check runs.

- Familiarity with automated clearing house (ACH) payments and related processes.

- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Finance preferred.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Previous experience in agriculture or manufacturing industries is a plus.

- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
