Responsibilities- Supervise the specific area of the store and the general operations when acting as Manager on Duty.
- Open and close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a friendly, easy‑to‑shop environment.
- Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area at all times.
- Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed, including safety, customer service, merchandising, loss prevention, front‑end supervision, fitting rooms, and administrative duties.
- Maintain safe and secure environments, manage safety awareness, and respond to alarms and emergency procedures.
- Provide customer service and maintain a respectful, courteous, and professional demeanor at all times.
- Represent and support the company brand, uphold the dress code, keep store areas clean and merchandised to standard, and handle daily trash removal.
- Perform general merchandising duties, including receiving merchandise, processing items, managing back‑stock, and ensuring compliance with presentation guidelines.
- Execute loss prevention practices, conduct package inspections, and safeguard confidential information.
- Supervise front‑end operations, train associates on cash registers and procedures, manage break schedules, and ensure proper supplies.
- Maintain fitting rooms, audit garment tags, and ensure go‑back compliance throughout the day.
- Perform administrative duties assigned by the Store Manager, including payroll administration, associate scheduling, and cash pulls.
- Demonstrate competencies in managing work processes, business acumen, planning, talent building, collaboration, leading by example, effective communication, and accountability.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC as required.
- Spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
- Regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
- Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.
- Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
- Stockroom associates must regularly push, pull, and lift more than 20 lbs.
