Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel – Night Shift – Salina, KS (67401)

Med/Surg Tele RN travel nursing job in Salina, KS — 13-week night shift opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses with Meditech and telemetry monitoring experience. Ideal for Med/Surg Telemetry RNs seeking travel nurse roles in Kansas.

• Location: Salina, KS 67401 (Salina Regional area)
• Position: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) / Telemetry Nurse
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract (travel nursing job)
• Start Date: June 1, 2026
• Shift: Night Shift — 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Unit: 4 Medical (38 beds) — Med/Surg Telemetry
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• EMR: Meditech (Meditech experience required)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910-$2010/week

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience (medical-surgical telemetry experience)
• Previous travel nursing experience required (travel nurse background preferred)
• Active Kansas (KS) RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
• BLS certification required (NIHSS preferred)
• Meditech EMR experience required — experience documenting in Meditech and telemetry monitoring
• Must be located at least 100 miles from facility (mileage reviewed case-by-case)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• References required
• First-time travelers and prior employees of Salina Regional are not eligible

• Provide high-quality nursing care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including nephrology, oncology, postoperative care, pulmonary, cardiac, and renal diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry and recognize/respond to arrhythmias, rapid response, and code situations
• Administer medications (Heparin, Insulin, PCA) and manage IV therapy and infusion pumps
• Perform wound care, wound vac management, and adhere to isolation precautions
• Manage respiratory equipment including chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy care
• Float to other Med-Surg units or assist ED/ICU with floor-level patient care as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — IV team, PT, RT, pharmacy, case management, and physicians
• Document all patient care accurately and timely using Meditech EMR
