Hiring Range
LPN Hiring Range - $23.50 - 25.45/hr
RN Hiring Range - $26.50 - 28.70/hr

The Team Nurse delivers patient care through phone triage, provides general nursing support, carries out the instructions of the medical provider, and works collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team.

- Screen patients’ phone messages to physician in order to advise and/or determine if and when an appointment should be made (triage).
- Call patients on telephone to relay advice and instructions from physician.
- Inspect patients’ medical records to insure completeness before the time of patient’s appointment and may obtain any missing reports, necessary x-rays, etc.
- Assist medical assistant by escorting patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs.
- Carry out or assist physician with diagnostic procedures, tests, and treatment.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team to promote continuity of patient care.
- Schedule appointments/referrals/admissions for patients outside the clinic and give appropriate instructions as needed.
- Perform patient teaching and/or nursing checks in accordance with established guidelines or per provider request.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, and the public.
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Must exhibit professional demeanor by being helpful, courteous and efficient.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to provide appropriate, efficient and care.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and prioritize workload.
- Effective and efficient time management.
- High school diploma;
- RN or LPN Kansas State license;
- 1-3 years previous nursing experience preferred;
- Knowledge of patient education principals;
- Must have and maintain CPR certification;
- Social and cultural sensitivity appropriate to ethnically and economically diverse patient and employee-base.
