About the Opportunity:
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) supports healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative duties in a medical setting. This role ensures efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient care in accordance with medical and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and instruments according to infection-control and sterilization standards.
  • Obtain and document patient medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints.
  • Assist providers with examinations.
  • Perform routine clinical tasks such as:
    • Administering medications (per state regulations)
    • Conducting EKGs
    • Performing phlebotomy and specimen collection
    • Conducting point-of-care testing
  • Administer vaccines, injections, and basic wound care.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Manage patient flow.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and prepare documentation for provider review.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant certification (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA) from an accredited program.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
Preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in a medical office or clinic setting.
  • Experience with phlebotomy and injections.
Working Conditions
  • Exams and procedures may take place at local offices, mobile clinics, armories or other designated military facilities.
  • May require occasional travel to outreach or satellite clinic locations.
  • Normal working hours with occasional evening or weekend appointments as needed.
