Gov First is currently seeking a Snowplow Operator (CDL Driver) to support our client in Salem, Virginia. Join our dedicated snow operations team andplay a vital role in keeping roadways safe, clear, and accessible during winterweather conditions.

We are looking for dependable CDL drivers who can respond quickly whenwinter storms occur. In this on-call position, you’ll operate our client-assignedsnowplow trucks and other winter maintenance equipment to support snow removal,de-icing, and roadway clearing efforts. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate snowplow trucks and assigned equipment to remove snow and applyde-icing materials to roadways.
• Perform safe and efficient plowing operations during winter events, includingheavy snow, ice, and mixed precipitation.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain communication with supervisors regarding route conditions and operational updates.
• Work on an on-call basis during and after snow events (daytime, nighttime,weekends, and holidays).
• Follow all safety standards and operational procedures required.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Valid CDL (Class A or
  
  B).
• Experience operating snowplow trucks or similar heavy vehicles (preferred).
• Clean driving record.
• Availability and flexibility to respond to winter storms on short notice.
• Ability to work in cold, icy, and extreme weather conditions for extended periods.
