Position: LPN - FT DAY Shift - $3,000 SIGN ON BONUS!

Overview

Mt Regis Recovery is hiring experienced LPNs!

Shift/Hours for full-time: 3-12 hour shifts with an every other weekend rotation. LPN 7A-7P (36 hours/week) or LPN 9A-9:30P (36 hours/week).
SIGN ON BONUS FOR FT! LPN Days = $3k; LPN Nights = $5k. Join the Mount Regis team and make a difference every day! Mount Regis Center is an intimate 68-bed, fully accredited, licensed drug and alcohol treatment center in Salem, VA. We offer empirically validated treatment methods to help our patients on the path to sobriety. We provide levels of care for adults 18+: detox, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient services.

Purpose

Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice, as defined by the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures and protocols, and facility and corporate policies. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

Essential Functions
  • Monitor patient health and administer basic care utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice in carrying out care plan objectives and goals.
  • Model expectations related to customer service and demonstrate a sense of urgency related to patient safety.
  • Collaborate with others to ensure that patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met; when needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve customer complaints.
  • Provide for the basic comfort of the patient and implement nursing interventions identified in the plan of care that are individualized to their needs.
  • Apply appropriate interventions to progress the patient toward wellness and maintenance of wellness.
  • Discuss the care provided with the patient and listen to their concerns. Report status changes and concerns to registered nurses and doctors.
  • Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers and others involved in the patient’s treatment in an effective manner.
  • Provide for the safe delivery of medication in accordance with policies and procedures, physician orders and/or current practice.
  • Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policy and procedures, external governing and credentialing bodies, performance improvement standards and psychiatric nursing standards.
  • Responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of the patient symptoms, responses and progress.
Other Functions
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • One or more years of nursing experience within the clinical area of service provided by the facility preferred.
Licenses/Designations/Certifications
  • Current LPN/LVN license as required by state.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility.
