Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Pulmonary/Renal

We are looking for a dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to lead patient-centered care and coordinate all functions within the Pulmonary/Renal unit. The CNC will work closely with the management team to ensure high-quality nursing care, efficient operations, and a supportive work environment.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator ensures and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care during their shift. They direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in line with established policies, serve as a resource person for staff, and exemplify the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
What you will do:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and quality care
- Participate in ongoing quality assessment of patient care services in the unit
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork that improves outcomes
- Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
- Implement nursing strategies such as employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to enhance engagement
- Advise on interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; recommend and carry out training, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines
- Support inventory control and manage supplies and equipment
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or higher in Nursing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification; BCLS Instructor certification required within 30 days of employment start date
