Job Opportunity – Operating Room Registered Nurse – Virginia

Start Date: December 29, 2025
Location: Salem, Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Flexible scheduling with 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts available. Call requirement of one night per week and one half-weekend every 8 weeks (weekends are 48 hours, half-weekends are 24 hours).

Highlights:

• 11 Operating Room suites offering diverse surgical specialties including ortho trauma, craniotomies, robotic procedures, ENT, and total joints
• Level II or higher trauma center environment with advanced surgical technology including DaVinci robots, Hanah tables, Jackson tables, and specialized surgical equipment
• 1:1 patient ratio ensuring focused, high-quality perioperative care
• Documentation via Meditech EMR system
• Varied case mix including cystoscopy, lumbar laminectomy, robotic general and GYN procedures, breast surgeries, and ENT cases
• Supportive team environment with experienced staff and comprehensive unit resources

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact state licensure
• Minimum 2+ years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Experience in a Level II or higher trauma center strongly preferred
• Proficiency in orthopedic trauma, craniotomies, burr holes, robotic general surgery (appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy), cystoscopy, ENT procedures, and total joint replacements
• Advanced skills in DaVinci robotic systems, ortho trauma, and cranial procedures highly desired
• Current BLS certification required
