Provide hands-on training, supervision, and leadership for the assembly, inspection and test of magnetic bearings and related products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide supervision and daily process coordination for the assembly area. This includes all work cells, machine shop and shipping / receiving areas.
- Monitor daily activities.
- Implement production schedules.
- Work with the production planner to meet department goals for build and shipment of product.
- Provide production communications and data as required.
- Direct daily production flow.
- Ensure materials are stocked, coordinate equipment needs and assist with staffing/scheduling.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with the safety policy, procedures, and instructions in order to ensure a safe work environment.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and orderly workplace.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with the quality policy, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals, and environmental well-being.
- Serve as quality liaison.
The requirements below are the minimum requirements an employee needs to fulfill this position. They are representative of the knowledge, skills and ability required for the position.
Education- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least five years of experience in a light industrial setting.
- At least five years of experience in a machine shop utilizing CNC and manual lathes and mills.
- Experience working with mechanical parts, electrical components and assemblies.
- Experience with training and quality systems.
- Experience with manufacture of magnetic bearing systems and controls or high speed motors and control electronics.
- Strong oral and written communications skills. Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Basic computer skills, including email, Excel, and Word.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with persons at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a small group.
- Must possess excellent time and task management skills.
- Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must not have issues related to handling metals including aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel.
- Must be able to come into contact with various epoxies without allergic reaction.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, heated mechanical parts, adhesive fumes, airborne particles, and energized electrical systems. Moderate noise levels are present for limited periods of time. Appropriate PPE will be supplied
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $60, USD (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
