Speech‑Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – $40/hr – Salem, OR – 4‑Month Assignment

The Speech‑Language Pathologist Assistant supports the supervising Speech‑Language Pathologist in providing school‑based speech and language services. This role includes implementing treatment plans, supporting communication development, assisting with documentation, and working directly with early‑childhood students in both group and individual settings.

Salem, OR

Start Date:

March 2nd, 2026

End Date:
June 12, 2026

Duration: 4 months

Schedule:

Monday–Friday

Hours:

40 hours per week

Pay Rate: $40/hour (local)

Modality:
In‑person

Openings: 1 position

Details of Assignment
  • Serving 3–5‑year‑old students
  • Working within early‑childhood programming in Yamhill County
  • Supported and supervised by a licensed SLP
  • Virtual interview required with SPED Coordinator
  • Caseload and daily schedule reviewed during interview
Responsibilities
  • Implement therapy plans designed by supervising SLP
  • Support articulation, language, and communication goals
  • Work with students in small‑group and 1:1 settings
  • Document session data and student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, and early‑childhood staff
  • Prepare therapeutic materials and support classroom carryover
Requirements
  • Active Oregon SLPA License (required)
  • Graduate of accredited SLPA program OR bachelor’s in Speech/Communication Disorders
  • Minimum 100 hours of supervised fieldwork
  • School‑based or pediatric experience preferred
  • TB screening, health certificate, and CPR if required
  • Must meet federal, state, and local requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old
