Family Coach (Human Services Case Manager) Bilingual Spanish Required

This position is Bilingual Spanish Required. A 5% bilingual language differential applies.

Base Pay Range

Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) of 2.5% applies, effective February 1, 2026 and reflected in paychecks beginning March 1, 2026.

Summary of Duties
  • Conduct interviews to determine family needs and eligibility, and complete program applications.
  • Engage clients in family evaluation, develop a case plan, and identify steps toward self‑sufficiency.
  • Monitor progress and make necessary modifications to the case plan.
  • Initiate and participate in case staffing, employment readiness, life‑skills training, and support job search as needed.
  • Assist with crisis and safety planning for individuals experiencing domestic violence.
  • Explore alternate resources and link clients to community services.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a closely related field; OR
  • A Bachelor's degree in any field and one year of human services–related experience; OR
  • An Associate’s degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a closely related field AND two years of human services–related experience; OR
  • Three years of human services–related experience.
Essential Attributes
  • Experience supporting families with case management tools and resources.
  • Experience creating and maintaining written documentation of client activities.
  • Experience with case management and assessing customers’ strengths and service needs.
  • Experience communicating, establishing boundaries, and setting realistic goals/milestones.
  • Experience explaining complex rules, regulations, processes, and procedures both verbally and in writing.

Working Conditions
  • Work schedule:

    8 a.m. – 5 p.m. PST, Monday – Friday; occasional adjustments may be required.
  • No remote work. Position is in a storefront office.
  • May need to assist various district offices temporarily or long‑term.
  • Fast‑paced environment with high volume of individual and family contact.
  • Exposure to diverse customers; respond with compassion and professionalism.
  • Contact with domestic‑violence survivors; self‑care and resources are important.
  • Work may occur in offices, participants’ homes, and community sites; hours may vary and can include evenings and weekends.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Background Checks And Requirements
  • Criminal history and background check for finalists; adverse history may lead to disqualification.
  • No visa sponsorship; I‑9 and E‑Verify required.
