Responsibilities

The Orkin Pro commits to safely and professionally providing the highest level of protection and service to customers on a designated service route. The role starts with in-depth training to prepare for daily route operations, scheduling, issue diagnosis and treatment planning. With each customer, Orkin Pros work to understand problems and resolve them effectively.

  • Complete our award-winning training to learn the skills and knowledge required to serve customers
  • Prioritize safety in all responsibilities
  • Follow a route schedule and daily operation schedule within an assigned territory and ensure timely and safe arrival at each customer’s location
  • Operate a company vehicle safely and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment
  • Conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers
  • Demonstrate empathy by listening to and understanding customer needs and recommending the most efficient and innovative solutions
  • Meet with customers to explain actions taken, ensure satisfaction, and discuss additional services for peace of mind
  • Inspect interior and exterior of properties; training is provided
  • Communicate actions taken and discuss additional services for pest management
  • Complete all required service-related documentation on a handheld device

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • No experience required – we’ll train you to be a Pro
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid)
  • Ability to work in the field independently, manage route-based assignments and interact with customers in their businesses and/or homes

What will my work environment be like?

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations:

  • Safely use a ladder within manufacturer’s weight capacity
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc., including the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Wear PPE, which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator
  • Willing to work in different weather conditions
