OPT STAFFING IS HIRING!
Position: CNC Machinist – Mill or Lathe (Programming Experience Required)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $25–$40+ per hour (DOE)
Who We AreA well-established industrial manufacturing company specializing in heavy‑duty equipment and large‑scale machined components is looking to add an experienced CNC Machinist to their Machine Shop team. This company prides itself on quality craftsmanship, precision machining, and a strong team‑oriented culture.
What You’ll Do- Program, set up, and operate CNC Mills and/or Lathes
- Perform G‑code programming on Fanuc controls (mills)
- Conversational programming on lathes
- Run large Doosan mills (horizontal, vertical, bridge mills, and boring mills)
- Machine heavy and large components using overhead and jib cranes
- Load and process smaller parts manually
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T
- Utilize Renishaw probing systems
- Use CAM software for programming and toolpath generation
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, and precision measuring tools
- Review job data prior to production (drawings, materials, tooling, programs, routers)
- Maintain quality and safety standards throughout production
- Work on large, complex, and challenging projects

- 4+ years of progressive CNC machining experience in a manufacturing or industrial shop
- Experience programming and setting up mills and/or lathes
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Experience with Fanuc controls
- CAM software experience
- Renishaw probing experience preferred
- ERP/MRP system experience (Global Shop a plus)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to machine heavy/large components
- Quality‑focused mindset
- Dependable with strong attendance
- Positive attitude and team‑oriented mentality
