The Bottle Drop Processing Specialist is responsible for supporting the Bottle Drop Redemption Centers with swing and grave shift processing coverage. Focusing primarily on operating a variety of equipment designed to sort, count, compact, or move empty beverage containers for the purpose of recycling. Will process and record container counts accurately while meeting established productivity standards. Position requires flexibility with schedule based on Bottle Drop need and may require travel between centers within a given shift.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Provide nightly support and material processing for different centers
- Receive, stack and process empty beverage containers
- Cleaning and maintenance of compaction and sorting equipment
- Work both independently and as a team of 2 depending on the shift and business need
- Possible travel to multiple centers within a work shift
- Safe and proper operation of equipment
- Deep cleaning of the Bottle Drop center as needed
- Adhere to all OBRC policies and any applicable OSHA safety policies, including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment and Lock Out Tag Out.
- High school diploma or equivalent education is required
- Work experience in a warehouse or production environment is preferred
- Must have a dependable vehicle
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule
- Possess the ability to work in a physical, fast-paced environment
- Communication skills, both verbal and written, sufficient to perform the job and communicate mechanical maintenance needs
- Safely work on top of, around and under machinery and conveyors
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Stand for an extended time period on concrete floor
- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Work indoors and outdoors as needed in various temperatures/conditions.
- Exposure to industrial equipment with moving mechanical parts, vibration, sharp objects and cleaning products.
- Occasional exposure to odors of empty beverage containers.
- Noise levels in designated areas require the use of approved hearing protection.
- Must be able to frequently lift/carry up to 30lbs.
- Must be able to occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Push/pull 50+ lbs. frequently (wheeled bag racks).
- Talking and hearing is frequently required.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to stand and walk.
- Must be able to bend/stoop/crouch/squat.
- Must be able to use arms/wrists/hands/grasp.
- Must be able to occasionally climb and balance.
