Job Summary: The Data Center Program Manager leads global program upgrade/retrofit projects impacting the critical and MEPS Infrastructure for the client's data center portfolio. The PM is responsible for identifying program requirements, engaging with internal customers, and supporting the program through the entire lifecycle.
What You'll Do- Run the upgrades/retrofit construction program process administration across the portfolio, focusing on leading multiple projects simultaneously across global locations.
- Develop program budget, cash flow, and commitment; secure spend approvals with the client’s Cost Control team.
- Lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple simultaneous programs with competing priorities.
- Engage technical authorities and key collaborators to initiate new programs, including developing program documentation.
- Identify process and communications gaps, then design and drive solutions to implement data center programs.
- Build relationships among cross‑functional teams, improving collaboration and communication.
- Draft program reporting for client management reviews, detailing schedule health, budget status, performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Update quarterly forecast, budget spend status, and obtain management approval on funding requests.
- Drive improvement in upgrade/retrofit program processes and documentation/workflow through feedback and metrics.
- Develop plans for improved field execution and delivery, balancing schedule, efficiency, and cost constraints.
- Mentor project execution throughout the end‑to‑end lifecycle, assessing potential construction workarounds to prevent slips.
- Lead the team—including stakeholders, project controls, contractors, and A&E design—to build Master Project Timeline (Critical Path, milestones) and Master Project Budget (soft and hard costs).
- Evaluate technical issues and propose solutions for review with key partners.
- Support Design Team activities by participating in schematic and design development reviews.
- Assist data center site teams with contractor pre‑qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis, and recommendations.
- Participate in constructability reviews of project documents.
- Provide input on Value Engineering efforts to site teams.
- Lead project teams in developing, assessing, and evaluating program and project risks.
- Control program costs and manage change controls.
- Create program dashboards and publish monthly program updates, coordinating with site teams for required data.
- Maintain lessons‑learned log for programs.
- Coordinate and manage all owner‑direct vendors working with supply chain and consultants.
