The Salvation Army Wonderland Camp and Conference Center exists to support the ministry of the Salvation Army by providing the opportunity to experience Christ through focused programs in a natural, safe, camp conference environment.

To prepare and clean areas that are used regularly.

• Motel and deluxe housing will be cleaned, beds made, bathrooms cleaned, towels distributed and floors vacuumed in a timely manner.
• Dorms, cabins, will be disinfected, bathroom and showers cleaned and blankets and pillows folded neatly on each bed.
• Perform seasonal deep cleaning of windows, walls, floors, etc.
• Assist the custodians during peak workloads with moving furniture, cleaning meeting areas, restrooms, etc.
• All other duties as assigned (this may entail other camp departments).

This position is supervised by the Housekeeping Supervisor. In contacts related to this position's duties this individual acts as a representative of The Salvation Army and its mission.

This individual will be evaluated on how effectively the outcomes of this position are achieved, as well as the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of accomplishing assigned goals.

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 19 years old.
• Experience in industrial housekeeping is preferred.

• Ability to accept authority and work a flexible schedule.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use initiative and be a self starter.
• An attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and the ability to be flexible in light of changing job situations/priorities.
• In agreement with the philosophy, goals and objectives of The Salvation Army Wonderland Camp and Conference Center.
• Supportive of the mission of The Salvation Army.
• This individual will only commit Army resources that have been allocated or approved.
• This individual will keep the Housekeeping Supervisor informed on all critical issues relating to their area of responsibility.
• This individual will adhere to all policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position.

• This position is required to do light to heavy physical work and must be able to lift or move up to 50lbs. This position requires turning, twisting, and bending.
• Requires ability to drive carts.
• In order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to use housekeeping equipment.
• The work environment for this position includes a camp and office environment with a low to high noise level, and also requires traveling outdoors in winter season to cabins and dorms.
