Under the direction of the Director of the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), the Superintendent serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Oregon State Hospital (OSH). The Superintendent provides executive leadership to the OSH Executive Team, ensures safe, compliant, high-quality care delivery across clinical, administrative, and operational functions, and supports agency-wide strategic initiatives to advance health equity by 2030.

What We Are Looking ForMinimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be reflected in your application for consideration.
- Nine years of management experience; OR six years of management experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.

- Senior executive leadership experience (CEO, COO, or equivalent) in a complex hospital or health system environment, including acute care, safety-net, academic, or public-sector hospitals.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex healthcare organizations with high regulatory oversight, unionized work forces, and multi-disciplinary clinical operations.
- Experience leading operational transformation, performance improvement, quality and safety initiatives, and financial stabilization in hospital settings.
- Understanding of, or ability to rapidly develop expertise in, behavioral health, forensic care, and specialty hospital operations within a regulated public health environment.
- Proven track record of data-driven decision-making, operational rigor, and continuous improvement across clinical, administrative, and support services.
- Demonstrated success engaging with governing bodies, regulatory agencies, legislators, labor partners, and community stakeholders.
- Experience navigating CMS, Joint Commission, and other federal and state regulatory frameworks, including survey readiness and corrective action planning.

- Master’s degree in healthcare, MBA, or related healthcare field.
