American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and active registration through NMTCB or ARRT for a rotating weekday, day shift assignment.
Responsibilities- Position is in a hospital Nuclear Medicine department
- Work schedule is four 10-hour day shifts with rotating weekdays, typically Monday, Tuesday, Friday (8:15 AM - 6:45 PM), and Thursday (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- No block scheduling is accommodated
- On-call is required after department closes, approximately 7 on-call shifts per month
- Travelers may be asked to float to a nearby affiliate hospital within 15 minutes
- Epic charting experience is required
- Performs nuclear medicine procedures in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- Must be willing to float to an affiliate hospital as needed
- Strict rules regarding requested time off; all RTO must be finalized at time of consideration
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Return staff must be gone for 6 months to be eligible
- Pre-employment modules to be completed prior to start
- No mile radius restrictions; local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Scrub and dress code details will be provided at assignment
- Active certification in Nuclear Medicine with NMTCB or ARRT (Nuclear) required within 6 months of hire
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA required within 90 days of hire; ACLS required within 6 months
- Must pass a Basic Cardiac Monitoring class within 4 months of hire
- Experience with state-of-the-art gamma cameras, probe and computer systems, film processors, survey meters, and technical support devices
- Epic charting experience is required
- COVID vaccination required with no exemptions
- License required if applicable
