Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 1-2 years of experience and current Oregon licensure for 4x10 day shifts with on-call responsibilities.

• Work in a hospital-based nuclear medicine department
• Typical shift is 4x10 hours, some days 06:30-17:00 or 08:15-18:45
• Rotating weekday schedule with no block scheduling
• On-call required after department closes, approximately 7 days per month
• Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
• Epic charting experience is required
• Performs a variety of nuclear medicine procedures per hospital policy
• Strict RTO policy; requests must be submitted at time of application and cannot be changed after submission
• Return staff must be gone at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; no mileage radius requirement
• Travelers may need to float to a nearby sister facility if needed

• Active Oregon Nuclear Medicine license required; pending license not accepted (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine required
• Registered in Nuclear Medicine with NMTCB or ARRT within 6 months of hire
• BLS from AHA within 90 days of hire
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• Must pass Basic Cardiac Monitoring class within 4 months of hire
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine gamma cameras, probes, computer systems, film processors, and survey meters
• Epic EMR experience required
• COVID vaccination required; no exemptions allowed
