Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 1-2 years of experience and current Oregon licensure for 4x10 day shifts with on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based nuclear medicine department
- Typical shift is 4x10 hours, some days 06:30-17:00 or 08:15-18:45
- Rotating weekday schedule with no block scheduling
- On-call required after department closes, approximately 7 days per month
- Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
- Epic charting experience is required
- Performs a variety of nuclear medicine procedures per hospital policy
- Strict RTO policy; requests must be submitted at time of application and cannot be changed after submission
- Return staff must be gone at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; no mileage radius requirement
- Travelers may need to float to a nearby sister facility if needed
- Active Oregon Nuclear Medicine license required; pending license not accepted (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine required
- Registered in Nuclear Medicine with NMTCB or ARRT within 6 months of hire
- BLS from AHA within 90 days of hire
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire
- Must pass Basic Cardiac Monitoring class within 4 months of hire
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine gamma cameras, probes, computer systems, film processors, and survey meters
- Epic EMR experience required
