Summary:
This person is a tip of the spear troubleshooter for robot failures, both in field and internally. They will do root cause and triage work. Sometimes the errors are defined, sometimes they are not. Electrical/sw troubleshooting required to triage unknown errors. Will support Engineering to an extent, but this is not a failure/repair/redesign role. Highly based on communication and ticket tracking, and doing first-pass troubleshooting.
Official JD. We are seeking a Triage & Root Cause Analysis Contractor with at least two years of experience to join our team onsite in Salem, Oregon. In this role, you will triage reported defects to determine if the cause is a known issue. For novel problems, you will document and elevate findings for further investigation, collaborating with the engineering team to capture root causes and develop comprehensive troubleshooting documentation for the broader team.
Triage
- Collaborate with the engineering team to understand known issues and existing error codes
- Perform initial triage by reviewing telemetry, logs and video to identify error codes that inform root cause
- Conduct second-level triage using common tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes to eliminate known root causes
- Document identified root causes or document and elevate novel issues to engineering for further investigation
- Work with engineering to train on and document newly identified root causes
- Work with engineering team to build and maintain troubleshooting documentation

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.89/hr.
