This is a part-time hourly Bilingual position in Salem. The person in this position works in the afternoon and evenings Monday-Thursday. This position will provide instructional and program support to the High School Programs staff by working with high school students in credit recovery/GED Options and skill development classes and by providing instructional support, assisting with reporting attendance, proctoring tests, monitoring supply use, checking out books, recording data, providing help proctoring testing, program support activities, documenting test scores, working with students in the technology lab, and updating student records.
The anticipatedschedule for this position will be Monday through Thursday, 2:00pm-8:30 p.m. (approx. 24 hours per week).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Attendance & Records
* Keeps and manages student behavioral records
* Keeps & manages attendance records
* Keeps and manages completion data
Inventory and Purchases of Supplies
* Monitors textbook and calculator rentals and inventory
* Monitors material/supply use and orders/prints materials for instructional needs
Clerical Duties & Reporting
* Assists with student registration & GED practice testing
* Provides assistance to the coordinator
* Assists instructors in the classroom
* Assists instructors in behavior management systems
* Assists with parent/student information sessions
* Assists in producing instructional materials and class preparation
* Assists in maintaining instructional web-board sites
* Assists with quarterly/end-of-year reporting data

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/ GED
* AND
- One year experience working with youth or alternative education programs
* AND
- Bilingual and biliterate in English/Spanish
Core Competencies
* Ability to work with a team
* Ability to keep accurate records
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working and communicating with a diverse public
* Experience in a GED classroom environment
* Experience working with Latino/Russian population/students
* Experience with grant-related spreadsheets and record keeping
* Experience with Ellucian Banner systems
* Experience attending or working at a community college
* Knowledge of Chemeketa registration processes
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
* Part-time hourly positions will not exceed 900 working hours per fiscal year
* All positions at Chemeketa are required to be available for work onsite as requested by the college.
* Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include evenings and/or weekends
