A special education teaching opportunity is available within a K-12 school located in Salem, OR. This contract position spans the current school year and requires in-person attendance.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for K-12 students.
- Provide academic and behavioral support in resource and developmental classrooms.
- Collaborate with school staff and maintain clear communication with families and supervisors.
- 2 Elementary Resource Teachers focusing on math, reading, and writing support
- 1 Middle School Developmental Classroom Teacher specializing in low cognitive/basic skill instruction
- 3 Elementary Developmental Teachers concentrating on behavior and basic skills
- Experience in special education for K-12 students
- Ability to deliver tailored instruction in resource and developmental classrooms
- A recent supervisor reference with contact information is mandatory for consideration
- Available for in-person work throughout the contract period
- Willingness to participate in interviews beginning the week of January 5
This position offers a full-time schedule with approximately 37.5 hours per week on site.
