Special Education Teacher – $60/hr – Salem, OR – In-Person – 7 Months
Position Overview
We are seeking Special Education Teachers to provide quality services to students in specialized classroom settings. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, this role involves planning and implementing individualized programs, providing special instruction, and collaborating with general education staff to support student success.

Interview:
With building principals and SPED coordinatorFloating Requirement:
Mileage reimbursement if traveling between schools
Lead classroom instruction and assist students with special education needs
Provide group and 1:1 support as needed
Participate in ARDs and maintain compliance with all regulations
Collaborate with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams
2 positions: K–2 Developmental Classroom (Caseload: 13–15, 6 IAs, behaviors include hitting, kicking, spitting, biting)
1 position:
Elementary Behavior (Caseload: 15, 5 IAs)1 position:
Elementary Resource Room (split between 2 schools, Caseload: 45, 2 IAs, focus on reading, writing, math, social skills)
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
Valid Oregon teaching certificate (Special Education required)
Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
