Shift: 16 hours per week, days/evenings, 4 & 8 hour shifts

The LPN, under the direction of the RN, performs various patient care activities for assigned patients, that fall within their scope of practice. In caring for a patient population which may include the newborn, toddler, adolescent, adult and the elderly, the LPN assists with data collection and performance of procedures that address each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age specific needs.

The LPN collaborates with other members of the health care team to provide an organized and effective plan of care.

This position may also require the employee to perform other related duties and activities as assigned by the Unit Director.

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing, with validation of medication administration certification. Successful completion of a State approved intravenous therapy certification course.
• Must possess a current license as a License Practical Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Must have current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (maintains currency of certification).
• Can demonstrate knowledge regarding the implementation of the nursing process as a Licensed Practical Nurse by current work experience in health care or recent graduate from a school of practical nursing (within last 12 months).
