OverviewAs a Merchandiser with American Greetings, you are a vital part of our company’s purpose: helping people celebrate holidays, each other, and all of life’s special moments, by making the world a more thoughtful and caring place every day. We are looking for merchandisers to work independently across various retail locations, showcasing organization and time management skills to display and maintain inventory levels of our products, including greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush and more.
Compensation& Schedule
- The starting pay is $14.40 per hour with two increases during the first year of employment (rates subject to change based on work location).
- After 6 months of employment, the pay rate increases to $15.20 per hour.
- After 1 year of continued employment, the pay rate increases to $16.00 per hour.

This route services the following retail locations at: 326 N Broadway, Salem, NH 03079. The weekly average hours are 10 hours per week, with potential to increase to an average of 20 hours per week around holidays.
- Ideal candidate is available during daytime hours, specifically Monday mornings, due to store needs.
- Service stores on your assigned route, merchandising and organizing product orders, displaying product within greeting card departments and other retail locations, maintaining organized backroom areas, and other inventory tasks as needed.
- Communicate with management any questions or concerns regarding service or schedules.
- Work in a fast-paced retail environment using effective time management and organizational skills.
- Partner with retail store associates and management during daytime retail business hours.
- Availability for additional working days and extended hours around major holidays.
- Provide occasional assistance with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested.
- Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload in assigned stores, utilizing a company-issued tablet.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- No experience required; we will train you.
- 18 years or older.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English is required.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Access to reliable transportation as most routes have multiple retail locations.
- Access to reliable internet to receive critical job information and updates.
- Technological competency to learn and use a company-provided tablet for training and daily activities/tasks.
- Meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and days around major holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s/Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
You will work on the sales floor and in the back stock room. Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 40 pounds throughout the workday. You may need to stand, walk, stoop, and squat. A stepstool may be used for some tasks.
