Apply for the Lead MRI Technologist role at Akumin®. The Lead MRI Technologist serves as a clinical expert for the assigned territory and as a primary trainer for new hires, performing scanning responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Performs clinical scans.
- Trains new hires and conducts ongoing reviews of clinical competencies.
- Assists with day‑to‑day unit operational issues.
- Works with team and customers on protocol development and review.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required;
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred. - ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as acceptable by contract in lieu of ARRT required.
- State license (if applicable) required.
- CPR certification required – BLS CPR Certification through the American Heart Association;
Kaiser only. - Valid state driver’s license, as applicable required.
- Minimum 3 years technologist experience.
- Ability to work at several locations.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
- Local travel may be required.
- COVID‑19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.
- All candidates accepting an offer for employment will be required to successfully complete a pre‑employment background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients if working on a mobile unit. The employee will be exposed to a strong magnetic field and may be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
More than 50% of the time:
- Sit, stand, walk.
- Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs.
- See, speak, and hear to communicate with patients.
Less than 50% of the time:
- Stoop, kneel, or crawl.
- Climb and balance.
- Carry and lift (ability to move non‑ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).
