Join Our Team as a Locum Physician in General Medicine – NH

Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company committed to honoring those who have served, is seeking qualified General Medicine Physicians to provide essential Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. In this role, you will perform interview-based assessments with some physical examinations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. You will operate autonomously within your own office location, performing one-time, non-treatment exams exclusively for Veterans. The position offers a PRN, ongoing basis with options for half-day or full-day shifts, fitting around your availability. This role is ideal for Providers with backgrounds in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or those experienced in general medicine or compensation and pension evaluations.
Required Skills:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license in New Hampshire or eligibility for licensure
- Proven experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
- Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including physical testing protocols
- Ability to perform detailed documentation and report submission efficiently
- Excellent communication and professional demeanor
Skills:
- Prior experience with VA or military-related medical assessments
- Familiarity with compensation and pension evaluation criteria
- Certification in specific diagnostic or physical assessment procedures
- Training or experience with federal government medical exam protocols
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years clinical practice in general medicine or related specialties
- Experience completing compensation & pension exams is a plus but not mandatory
- Active accredited medical license in New Hampshire or similar state licensure eligibility
- Own office location within a 50-mile radius of specified NH sites (Lincoln and Lebanon)
- Ability to perform exams in your private practice setting as needed
- Willingness to undergo credentialing and onboarding promptly
- Commitment to follow all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
- Availability for scheduled days (1 day/week at Lincoln and Lebanon) and additional administrative work as required
