Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

  • Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience

  • Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

As a Guest Advocate, No Two Days Are Ever The Same, But a Typical Day Will Most Likely Include The Following Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
  • When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
  • Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve the guest experience
  • Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
  • Understand and show guests how to use features within the Target App including Wallet
  • Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and direct guests to enroll, activate and use these features
  • Handle returns per policy; collaborate with leadership as needed to resolve guest issues
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and manage store inventory related tasks
  • Stock supplies during store hours while remaining available for the guest
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • Work in a safe manner; comply with safety policies, report hazards and correct where possible
  • Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up orders, drive-up returns and maintain compliance with applicable laws
  • All other duties based on business needs
