Precinct Specialist I (Security)

The Security Department at the Peabody Essex Museum is seeking a full-time Precinct Specialist I to coordinate closely with the Campus Supervisors, Security Supervisors and the Security Operations Center to provide a constant security presence on campus and in the Museum. Primary duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Opening and closing galleries
• Inspecting and patrolling
• Responding to emergencies and security issues
• Documenting all non-routine occurrences

The Precinct Specialist I is qualified for assignment to established precincts and as a gallery officer in any area on the museum campus as may be needed. Must be able to sit, walk or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Training and uniforms will be provided.
