Travel RN - GI​/Endoscopy

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring a minimum of 2-3 years of endoscopy experience and an active MA RN license.

Job Details

• Hospital-based endoscopy unit with 8 procedural rooms, 18 PACU bays, and a daily census of 60-70 procedures,

• Unit features 7 procedure rooms: 4 MAC and 3 conscious sedation, plus holding and recovery areas,

• Patient population is diverse with a 1:1 ratio in procedure rooms and 1:2-3 in PACU,

• Department hours are 6:30am-5:30pm weekdays; on-call coverage required for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays,

• Primary shift is 7:15am-3:45pm with one rotating day shift of 8:00am-4:30pm,

• Rotating shifts required depending on departmental needs,

• Charting is done in Epic,

• No floating required,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active MA RN license required - no pending or conditional licenses accepted,

• BLS and ACLS certifications required - AHA only;
Red Cross, CHSF, and Military certifications are not accepted at this location,

• Minimum 2-3 years of endoscopy RN experience required,

• Proficiency with GI technician endoscopy skills, including Olympus scope setup, handling, and reprocessing,

• SGNA or CBSPD certification strongly preferred,

• Epic EMR experience required,

• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions,

• Two professional references required for consideration,

• Responsibilities include procedural room nursing, PACU recovery, and on-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays,

• Local candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but will be offered a reduced rate,
