American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Cardiology Telemetry position requiring a strong cardiac background, the ability to read telemetry strips, and an active MA RN license.

• 24-bed Medical Cardiology unit (Pingree
  4) in a hospital setting
• Cardiology patient population including post-cath care: PCI, ICD, PPM, and ablation procedures
• Experience with TR Band and femoral approach required
• Night shift: 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• RN-to-patient ratio: 1:5 on days, 1:6 on nights
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR used for charting

• Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• AHA BLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this facility)
• AHA ACLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this facility)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with a strong cardiac background
• Ability to interpret telemetry strips and perform cardiac drips
• 2 professional references required for consideration

• Provide telemetry monitoring and cardiac nursing care to a medical cardiology patient population
• Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible to apply
• Parking is not validated at Boston-area locations; public parking is available at candidate's expense
