Join a dynamic, supportive critical care team as an ICU Registered Nurse (ICU RN) in Salem, Massachusetts. This travel nursing job places you in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a leading community hospital and Level III Trauma Center. Ideal for experienced critical care nurses and MICU RNs seeking New England travel nurse opportunities and Massachusetts nursing jobs.

• Location: Salem, MA 01970 (Salem, North Shore of Boston; easy access to Boston and surrounding New England areas)
• Assignment Type: Travel (Travel Nurse / Travel Nursing Assignment)
• Start Date: April 19, 2026
• End Date: July 18, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020-$2130/week
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights & Every Other Weekend);
  Night shift does not rotate
• Floating: Required to Medical/Surgical units as needed (up to 4-5 patients)

• Active Massachusetts RN license (compact license not accepted unless MA state requirements met)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of continuous Adult ICU experience (preferably MICU) in one location
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips and manage cardiac monitoring
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred (documentation and charting proficiency)
• Willingness and ability to float to Med/Surg units while maintaining safe RN-to-patient ratios
• Compliance with all onboarding health screenings, immunizations, and background checks

• Provide high-quality, compassionate intensive care to adult patients with complex diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, DKA, GI bleed, and substance overdose/withdrawal
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate closely with ICU attendings, residents, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members available 24/7
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC EMR
• Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed, ensuring continuity of care and safe staffing ratios
• Participate in unit-based and hospital-wide quality improvement, patient safety, and infection control initiatives
