This travel nursing job places you in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a leading community hospital and Level III Trauma Center.   • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020-$2130/week
  • Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights & Every Other Weekend);
    Night shift does not rotate
  • Floating: Required to Medical/Surgical units as needed (up to 4-5 patients)
  • Perks: Free on-site parking; immersive New England location with historic Salem attractions
Required Qualifications (ICU RN / Critical Care Nurse)
  • Active Massachusetts RN license (compact license not accepted unless MA state requirements met)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of continuous Adult ICU experience (preferably MICU) in one location
  • Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips and manage cardiac monitoring
  • Experience with EPIC EMR preferred (documentation and charting proficiency)
  • Willingness and ability to float to Med/Surg units while maintaining safe RN-to-patient ratios
  • Compliance with all onboarding health screenings, immunizations, and background checks
Key Responsibilities (ICU / Critical Care)
  • Provide high-quality, compassionate intensive care to adult patients with complex diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, DKA, GI bleed, and substance overdose/withdrawal
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate closely with ICU attendings, residents, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members available 24/7
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC EMR
  • Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed, ensuring continuity of care and safe staffing ratios
  • Participate in unit-based and hospital-wide quality improvement, patient safety, and infection control initiatives
