Travel RN - Med​/Surg - IV Therapy

American Traveler is seeking an experienced IV Therapy RN for a night shift position in Massachusetts requiring a MA RN license and strong IV skills.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital-based IV Therapy department,

• Night shift position, 36 hours per week with one 12-hour and three 8-hour shifts (19:00-07:30),

• Patient population includes all ages: neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric,

• Duties include peripheral IV insertion, CVAD dressing changes, non-tunneled CVAD removal, thrombolytic therapy handling, access and de-access of implanted ports, PICC repositioning, and ultrasound-guided IVs,

• Use of Epic EMR system for charting,

• No floating required,

Job Requirements

• Active, non-conditional MA RN license required at time of consideration,

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience working on an IV or Venous Access team,

• BLS certification from AHA required,

• Proficiency in IV insertion, ultrasound-guided IV placement, and PICC line insertion,

• BSN preferred,

• Candidates must demonstrate and maintain core IV Therapy competencies,

• Flu vaccination is required without exemption,

• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston; local pay is reduced,

• Parking may incur daily costs; no validated parking is available,

• Timekeeping uses UKG/Kronos system,
