Endoscopy Registered Nurse (Endoscopy RN / GI Nurse) — Travel RN contract in Salem, MA 01970. Immediate 13-week assignment; ideal candidates have 2–3 years of GI Lab/Endoscopy RN experience, ACLS, and Epic EMR proficiency.

Job Details- Position: Endoscopy RN (GI/ENDO RN, GI Nurse, Endoscopy Nurse)
- Location: Salem, MA 01970 — travel nurse opportunity in Massachusetts (New England travel nursing)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 5, 2026 – July 4, 2026)
- Hours: 40 hours/week (Guaranteed)
- Shift: Days, 07:00 AM – 05:50 PM
- Shift Duration: 10-hour days
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2370 – $2500 (competitive pay for endoscopy nurse jobs)
- Parking: Free on-site parking
- Charting System: Epic (Epic EMR experience preferred)
- Unit: Surgical Services – Endoscopy (7 procedure rooms, holding & recovery rooms)
- Patient Volume: 60–70 procedures/day
- Clinician-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1 in procedure rooms; 1:2–3 in PACU
- Bed Count: 18 PACU bays, 8 procedural rooms
- On-call: Evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays (rotating)
- Floating: Not required
- Minimum 2–3 years recent Endoscopy/GI Lab RN experience (endoscopy nurse experience required)
- Active Massachusetts RN license (compact license not accepted unless MA endorsement completed)
- AHA ACLS Certification and current BLS/CPR
- SGNA or CBSPD certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency with GI technician endoscopy workflows, Olympus scope set-up, handling, and reprocessing
- Strong clinical skills in MAC and conscious sedation cases
- Comfortable caring for a diverse patient population in a fast-paced GI lab/PACU environment
- Ability to work rotating shifts within department hours (6:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care across pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and recovery phases (endoscopy nurse responsibilities)
- Assist providers during GI/endoscopic procedures, including MAC and conscious sedation cases
- Perform focused assessments, continuous monitoring, and timely interventions for changes in patient condition
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic EMR
- Support room readiness, turnover, and patient flow in a high-volume procedural setting
- Follow infection prevention standards, including proper scope handling and endoscope reprocessing workflows
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team across procedure, holding, and PACU recovery areas
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotation for after-hours, weekends, and holidays
- Hands-on experience at a high-volume GI/Endoscopy center — great for advancing endoscopy nursing skills
- Work with a supportive, multidisciplinary team focused on patient safety and quality
