Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a 24-bed Medical Cardiology/Telemetry unit with strong cardiac and telemetry skills and a valid MA RN license.

• Position is in a 24-bed Medical Cardiology unit with telemetry monitoring
• Patient population includes post-cath care, PCI, ICD, PPM, ablation, and cardiology cases
• Shift schedule is 19:00-07:30, nights with every other weekend required
• RN to patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Use of Epic EMR for charting
• Responsibilities include interpreting telemetry strips and performing cardiac drips
• Specialized equipment includes TR Band and procedures involve femoral approach
• Must provide proof of flu vaccination; no medical or religious exemptions allowed
• Parking may incur costs depending on location and is not validated at Boston sites
• Role involves direct cardiac telemetry care, including managing post-procedure cardiac patients
• First time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates must have a permanent address at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston

• Active MA RN license required—no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA accepted/preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience with strong cardiac/telemetry background
• Ability to read tele strips and perform cardiac drips is mandatory
• Experience in post-cath care and advanced cardiology procedures required
