Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Float Pool RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring an active MA RN license and strong telemetry skills.

• Work in the float pool covering Medical/Surgical Telemetry units across 8 different hospital units
• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading tele strips
• Care for a diverse patient population including ED border patients, acute mental health, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
• Night shift schedule, 19:00-07:30, with every other weekend required
• Clinician to patient ratio up to 6:1 on nights
• EPIC is used for charting, and experience is required
• Must be willing to float between 8 different units within the hospital
• Flu vaccination is required with no religious or medical exemptions permitted
• Free on-site parking is available
• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for standard travel rate eligibility, with locals working at a reduced rate
• First time travelers will be considered

• Active MA RN license required; MA conditional licenses are not accepted
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum two years of acute care hospital experience preferred
• Proven experience in telemetry monitoring, measuring intervals, interpreting strips, and managing cardiac drips
• TR Band experience needed
