Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit requiring strong telemetry skills and an active MA RN license.

• Work in a 24-bed private room inpatient medical telemetry unit
• Adult medical patient population
• RN to patient ratio is 1:4-5
• Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 with every other weekend required
• Rotating shifts may be assigned as needed to cover open night shifts
• Use of telemetry monitoring and ability to read cardiac tele strips required
• EPIC EMR is used and prior experience is required
• Floating to other units is required
• Responsibilities include assessment, monitoring, and care for adults with a variety of medical needs requiring telemetry
• Care is provided in a new and modern environment
• Two references are required for consideration
• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to receive standard pay rates
• Parking is available at a daily rate, with no validated parking provided
• Orientation to unit and protocols is provided

• Active Massachusetts RN license with no pending or conditional status
• Minimum of 3 years' recent experience in a telemetry or med/surg setting
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips
• Proof of licensure must be available at the time of consideration
• Flu vaccine required with no medical or religious exemptions allowed
