General ED nursing skills Assessment and documentation IV therapy and phlebotomy EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring (must be able to read telemetry strips) Point-of-care testing Splinting Critical thinking and patient education Staffing & Ratios Clinician-to-Patient Ratio: 4:1 or 5:1, depending on unit needs Floating:
