- Clinician to patient ratio: 4:1 or 5:1 depending on unit needs.
- Patient population:
Adult. - Bed count: 16.
- Census: 10-16.
- EMR systems used:
Epic, Asap, and Clin doc. - Floating required:
Yes. - Rotating shifts required:
Yes.
Job Details
- 2+ years of experience in specialty required.
- Active Massachusetts RN license required.
- Certifications required: ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
- Skill sets include assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education.
Job Requirements
- Nights and every other weekend (EOW) shifts.
- 36 hours per week.
- Rotating shifts required.

- Floating and rotating shifts required.
Unit Specific Information
- MGB IRP Resume and Evaluation are optional.
- License/Certificate Verification is optional but required within 30 days of start date.
- Fit Test (N95) required within 365 days of start date and updated annually.
- MGB Medication Exam and Dysrhythmia Exam require 80% passing within 365 days.
- Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity required.
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions.
- TB test documentation required within 3 months of start date and updated if break >6 months.
- Physician health statement required within 365 days of start date and updated if break >6 months.
- MGB Criminal Background Check within 45 days prior to start date and updated if break >6 months.
- MGB Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date and updated if break >6 months.
- MGB Resume required for submission including past 7 years of work experience.
- MGB References required for submission with minimum 1 supervisor or above.
- MGB Skills Checklist required for submission.
- MGB Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form required for all initial assignments and extensions.
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation required if fit test is required.
- MGB Education Verification required.
- MGB SSN Trace required.
- MGB National Sex Offender Check required within 30 days of start and updated annually.
- MGB Exclusion Checks required within 30 days of start and annually.
