Assistant Controller - Peabody, MA (Hybrid)
Industry: Specialty Services & Professional Services
A growing professional services organization in Peabody, MA is seeking an Assistant Controller to support financial leadership across multiple service lines. This role offers the opportunity to step into a key leadership function as the company continues to expand organically and through acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Controller in all aspects of month end close and consolidated reporting.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Oversee AP, AR, billing, project accounting, and revenue processes.
- Assist with acquisition integration, system updates, and process enhancements.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and delegate work effectively.
- Bachelor's in Accounting; CPA highly preferred.
- 6-10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Professional services, project based accounting, or multi entity experience highly valued.
- Strong leadership, systems knowledge, and communication skills.
- Hybrid: 2-3 days onsite in Peabody.
