This part time, 5-10 hours/week position is responsible for providing administrative financial support to the agency. Responsibilities include processing accounts payable invoices, credit card reconciliation and entering journal entries into financial software. Position also provides administrative and project support to the Director of Finance and Administration. This is an hourly position in the range of $25-27/hour with considerations given to skills and experience.

This position is based out of HAWC’s Salem office and is supervised by HAWC’s Director of Finance and Administration.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with high attention to detail
  • Computer proficiency, including accounting and office software
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience using Quick Books
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and dependable
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including non-financial staff
  • Experience with nonprofit accounting preferred
  • Commitment to promoting cultural humility and social justice values
Position

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Process Accounts Payable invoices into
  • Collect, track and organize receipts and other financial back up
  • Perform day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks using Quick Books
  • Reconciliation of organization credit card account
  • Support financial reporting and assist with audits or internal reviews as needed
  • Communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and external partners
  • Assist with grant billings
  • Manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs
  • Supports Director of Finance on various projects
  • Participate in required trainings, including relevant portions of HAWC’s pre-service training
