Our Per Diem Marilyn was moved to a part time position ving an open Per Diem Position
Job Summary- Under the general direction of the Retail Manager, responsible for various duties relating to the preparing, serving, and cleaning of our coffee shop and cafeteria.
- Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program and safety standards.
- Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs.
- Prepare and serve coffees, teas, specialty beverages per brand standards.
- Prepares and serve food items in line with location standards.
- Counts, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits.
- Adheres to Salem Hospitals cash handling policies and procedures.
- Set up and breakdown coffee bar, stations or store including cleaning and sanitizing.
- Maintain clean and sanitary work area.
- Stock beverage coolers, grab-and-go items, service ware and condiments.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Assists cafeteria operations.
- Attends in-service meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- English: basic communication skills to understand and speak for safe, efficient performance of job responsibilities.
- Basic computer skills which may be obtained thru on the job training.
- Ability to read, write and communicate routine information.
- Ability to work from oral and written instruction. Basic math skills (count and compute).
- Most be able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Requires one to three months related food service experience.
- Previous Barista experience, cash handling experience and customer service experience preferred.
