Interventional Radiologist (Consultant)
Healthcare / Diagnostic Imaging — Interventional Radiology services for hospital and specialty-clinic networks in India. We are hiring an on-site Interventional Radiologist to deliver high-quality image-guided diagnostics and minimally invasive vascular and non-vascular procedures for a growing multi-disciplinary practice.
Role & Responsibilities
Provide consultant-level diagnostic and interventional radiology services on-site, performing image-guided biopsies, drainages, and percutaneous procedures with strong clinical decision-making.
Plan and perform vascular interventions including angiography, angioplasty, stenting, and endovascular embolization using DSA and fluoroscopy.
Lead multidisciplinary case discussions with oncology, surgery, critical care, and emergency teams to define intervention strategies and post-procedure care.
Ensure procedural safety and quality: obtain informed consent, manage peri-procedural care, maintain radiation safety protocols, and document outcomes.
Operate and optimise imaging workflows: DSA, CT-fluoroscopy, ultrasound-guided interventions, and PACS-based reporting; collaborate with technologists to maintain equipment readiness.
Contribute to departmental protocols, training of junior radiologists/trainees, and continuous improvement initiatives for IR services.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
MD/DNB (Radiology) or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Radiology.
Current medical registration to practice in India and eligibility to perform interventional procedures.
Proven hands-on experience in interventional radiology with competency in image-guided biopsies, percutaneous drainages, and vascular interventions.
Proficiency with DSA, CT fluoroscopy, and ultrasound-guided techniques; strong familiarity with PACS workflows.
Ability to manage procedural complications and provide on-call interventional coverage as required in an on-site setting.
Clear, concise clinical documentation and experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred
Fellowship or formal training in Interventional Radiology or Endovascular therapies.
Experience in interventional oncology procedures (e.g., TACE, radio embolization) and trauma embolization.
Exposure to quality systems, clinical governance, and teaching/mentorship roles.
