Molding Technicians - Supervisor

North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Molding Technicians Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan and direct the work of the Molding Technicians in order to reduce molding equipment downtime, improve processes, and increase productivity.

• Supervises, assigns work, and prepares work schedules for all the molding department technicians.
• Creates, submits, and maintains plant side budget for molding departments, including Capital Budget requests for molding department improvements.
• Monitors and evaluates equipment downtime and scrap with assigned technician, determines and implements countermeasures, and verifies their effectiveness.
• Creates and maintains the Countermeasure Plan for equipment downtime, and presents to plant and engineering management on a monthly basis.
• Creates and maintains the shutdown maintenance schedule and parts lists for the molding department.
• Work with outside vendors on the repair and improvement of molding equipment, obtains competitive quotes, creates project plans, and oversees implementation to ensure their completion within the budget, timeline, and requirements outlined in the project plans.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000

Your Background

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline, plus 4 to 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Associate's Degree in Engineering, industrial Technology, or a related discipline, plus 6 to 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience: Manufacturing experience to include 1 to 3 years in a supervisory or lead role.

Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is preferred.
