Sr Cloud Data Engineer (AWS) – Financial Risk Transformation

Raymond James is seeking a Senior Cloud Data Engineer (AWS) to modernize our risk data platform and deliver trusted insights for regulatory reporting and enterprise risk management. In this role you will architect and deliver AWS-native pipelines aligned with the Medallion Architecture, organized into Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers, working closely with business analysts, developers, and application software testers.

Hybrid workstyle:
Expected to be in a Raymond James office location a minimum of 10–12 days a month.

• Build batch & streaming pipelines using Glue, Glue koude, Lambda, S3, Athena, and Iceberg.
• Enable CDC ingestion with Kafka topics and JDBC connectors.
• Optimize Icebergגובה tables and Athena queries for performance.
• Drive CI/CD automation with Azure Dev Ops.
역사Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Governance teams.
• Apply domain expertise in Market Risk and XVA processing to ensure accurate and timely risk calculations.
• Work with relational databases such as Oracle and MS SQL for upstream and downstream integration.
• Nice‑to‑have:
  Experience with AWS Sage Maker, Bedrock, and Redshift for advanced analytics and AI‑driven insights.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Science.
