Bay Moorings Animal Hospital is a thriving, full-service veterinary hospital serving the St. Petersburg - Skyway Marina community with compassionate and comprehensive care.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Technician with surgery experience to join our team and provide exceptional patient care.

About the Role:

As an experienced Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in the smooth and efficient operation of our hospital. You will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including assisting veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and procedures; performing diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; administering medications; providing nursing care; and educating clients on pet health and wellness.

Responsibilities:

* Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and procedures.

* Perform diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures.

* Administer medications and treatments.

* Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients.

* Monitor patient vital signs and conditions.

* Educate clients on pet health and wellness.

* Maintain accurate patient records.

* Ensure a clean and organized work environment.

* Maintain and manage inventory of supplies and equipment.

* Assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

* Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred, but not required.

* Minimum of 4 years of experience in a veterinary clinic setting.

* Strong knowledge of veterinary anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

* Proficiency in performing common veterinary procedures, including phlebotomy, ECGs, and radiography.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

* Ability to lift and move animals of varying sizes.

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Ability to work weekends.
